the face behind the lens:

Hi there! My name is Cora Crilow and I'm a 19 year old photographer from Holmes County, Ohio. When I'm not in the barn working sheep, you can find me cuddled up with my 5 year old Corgi, named Tula. She comes with me to most of my shoots, so chances are, you'll probably get to meet her. I'm currently a student at Ohio State ATI, majoring in ag education. I enjoy everything agriculture and my favorite place in the world is probably the show barn. I'm excited to work with you!

the right hand woman:

Hey guys! My name is Laina Croskey. I'm a Senior at West Holmes and I'm from Holmes County, Ohio. I have a passion for agriculture and taking pictures so I decided to combine them. I've been taking pictures of everything I could for as long as I can remember! I operate my own photography business, LC Photography, and help Cora shoot at livestock shows in my free time. I'm involved in 4-H and FFA where I show beef steers, market hogs, and dairy cattle. I love taking pictures of anything but livestock is definitely my favorite!

the story:

Cora Crilow Photography started as a one-time FFA project. In the winter of 2021, my ag teacher challenged our officer team to come up with a "passion project". The idea of a passion project was to better the community or fundraise for a cause. As my passion project I looked back at my experiences showing animals at the County and State level. To acquire pictures from these shows, exhibitors experience a large expense. For example, I paid $7 for each digital download from the county fair. I, like many other county fair exhibitors, show multiple animals. After purchasing pictures from all 6 of my projects I spent nearly $100, and soon realized many families who exhibit at the Holmes County Fair can’t afford this, so I created Cora Crilow Photography. Not only do I offer pictures to families, couples, and individuals at a low cost, but the main purpose of my project is to take ring shots at the Holmes County Fair. These are the pictures I struggled to purchase of myself in the ring, therefore I want to capture these moments of youth in the ring, and distribute them for free.
